SAGE Map Contest
Surveyors, Architects, Geologists, and Engineers of El Dorado County (S.A.G.E.) is a local organization of professionals dedicated to enhancing our community. S.A.G.E. has generously sponsored this student map-drawing contest for over 25 years and donated over $4,000 each year in prizes.
In honor of the National Geography Awareness Week this contest was introduced to promote a better understanding of the importance of geography in our world and to encourage the creative talents of the youth in our community. S.A.G.E. members from the El Dorado and Georgetown Divide Resource Conservation Districts are local professionals who use maps on a daily basis. These professionals would love to come to your school and give a presentation why maps are important and what makes a great map.
