Community Outreach – Sierra Springs

Our team has been busy spreading the word and sparking interest about our up-coming fuels reductions projects in Sierra Springs. Funded through grants from Fire Adapted 50 and the Stevens’ Authority, these projects will help create crucial fuel breaks along the wildland urban interface, at no out-of-pocket cost to the community.

Part of our outreach includes working with the Sierra Springs Regional Fire Safe Council to encourage landowners to opt in to the project. The more neighbors that agree to have brush thinned on their properties, the stronger the fuel break. Wildfire protection requires community teamwork and cooperation.
